3 Hitachi-LG Execs Cop To Disk Drive Price-Fixing Plot

Law360, New York (December 13, 2011, 5:42 PM EST) -- Three South Korean executives of Hitachi-LG Data Storage Inc. have agreed to plead guilty and serve prison sentences in the U.S. for conspiring to fix prices for optical disk drives sold to Microsoft Corp. and others, the U.S. Department of Justice said Tuesday.

Prosecutors charged Young Keun Park, Sang Hun Kim and Sik Hur in California federal court Tuesday for their roles in several conspiracies to rig bids for drives sold to Dell Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co. and to fix prices for products sold to Microsoft Corp.
