DOJ Would Strongly Enforce More Russia Sanctions

Law360, New York (June 16, 2017, 1:17 PM EDT) -- On June 15, the United States Senate voted 98-2 to solidify existing economic sanctions against Russia for its actions in Ukraine, as well as imposing new ones because of Russia’s alleged interference in the United States’ 2016 presidential election campaign.

The bill would turn into law existing economic sanctions that were created over Russia’s attacks in Ukraine, which would make it more difficult for President Trump to undo them unilaterally.
