Atty Can't Escape Charges In Allentown Pay-To-Play Scheme

Law360, New York (December 7, 2017, 4:23 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge Thursday refused to dismiss the corruption charges against a Norris McLaughlin & Marcus PA attorney who was charged alongside the mayor of Allentown in an indictment detailing a pay-to-play scheme. 

U.S. District Judge Juan Sanchez said that federal prosecutors had properly supported their allegations that attorney Scott Allinson, who has been on leave from the firm since he was indicted in July, engaged in conspiracy and bribery.
