Legal, Biz Groups Back Pfizer In 3rd Circ. Birth Defect Row

Law360, New York (October 19, 2016, 7:47 PM EDT) -- Various legal and business groups Tuesday urged the Third Circuit to uphold a court's exclusion of a statistician’s testimony and toss of 300-plus cases claiming Pfizer Inc.’s Zoloft caused infant heart defects, saying the reliability of an expert’s evidence is a question for a court, not a jury.
