Dell, HP, Apple Users Consolidate Claims V. Nvidia

Law360, New York (May 7, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Plaintiffs in a proposed class action against chip maker Nvidia Corp. have said that potentially hundreds of thousands of computer buyers could be entitled to money because of defective graphics cards that have hobbled computers.

In an amended consolidated complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, computer buyers from Louisiana, New Jersey, California, New Mexico and Illinois said Nvidia’s proposed work-around for overheating chips is a “Band-Aid.”
