Stericycle To Pay Workers $2M To End Wage, Break Claims

Law360 (February 6, 2018, 7:35 PM EST) -- Stericycle Inc. employees asked a California federal judge on Monday to preliminarily approve a $2 million agreement with the medical waste disposal company settling putative class claims that it denied workers breaks and shorted them on overtime pay and compensation for time spent changing into their work wear.

The motion before U.S. District Judge John Kronstadt said the $2 million settlement provides a "significant" recovery for the approximately 985 Golden State class members in light of the risks of further litigation.
