With No Trump Pick For SDNY Atty, Judges May Step In

Law360 (March 6, 2018, 8:23 PM EST) -- Geoffrey Berman's interim appointment as U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York is set to expire in a matter of weeks, shouldering Manhattan federal judges with the responsibility of appointing Berman until a formal nomination is made by the White House and confirmed by the Senate, finding someone else or even opting out entirely.
