Fur Brokers Cite Iqbal To Escape Bid-Rigging Suit

Law360 (May 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Just a day after the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Iqbal v. Ashcroft clarified the pleading standard in Bell Atlantic v. Twombly, a group of fur brokers has asked a court to dismiss a class action brought by two mink fur producers over an alleged bid-rigging scheme in light of the high court's decision.

The brokers, which include Alaska Brokerage International Inc., Delta Trading Corp., Klondike International Furs Ltd. and others, filed a motion Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington...
