RadioShack Overtime Settlement Denied

Law360, New York (May 22, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Employees who settled with RadioShack Corp. over uncompensated time will have to explain how $300,000 is fair compensation in a class action with $10 million in claims, a federal judge has said in denying approval of the settlement.

Judge Gary A. Feess of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California said in proceedings in chambers that "numerous deficiencies" in a motion to approve the class settlement means plaintiffs' attorneys will have to try harder to win him over.
