Penn National's $7.5M Bid Lands 2nd New Pa. Casino License

Law360 (April 4, 2018, 3:59 PM EDT) -- Penn National Gaming Inc. on Wednesday landed its second new Pennsylvania casino license as part of the state's gambling expansion process, putting up $7.5 million as the sole bidder with a proposal to build a mini casino in or near Lancaster County.

The company previously won the state's first new casino auction in January with a $50.1 million bid for a York County site. It is poised to have a total of four casinos in Pennsylvania, through its pending acquisition of Pinnacle Entertainment Inc., which operates Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Washington County along with 15 other casinos nationally.
