EPA Fines Puerto Rico National Guard

Law360, New York (May 29, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Puerto Rico Army National Guard and another federal government entity will pay a fine and over $500,000 in repair costs to settle allegations over leaky underground storage tanks at a military base in Puerto Rico.

The Puerto Rico Army National Guard and the Army & Air Force Exchange Service, a retailer for service members, agreed to pay a $69,000 fine over allegedly faulty underground storage tanks, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced Thursday.
