TelexFree Investors Can Sue Founder's Wife, Judge Says

Law360 (May 7, 2018, 10:02 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in Massachusetts decided Monday that investors fleeced by the billion-dollar pyramid scheme TelexFree LLC can go after the wife of the man who founded the notorious company, in addition to other executives, in a effort to recover losses.

U.S. District Judge Timothy S. Hillman said the allegations against Katia Wanzeler, who was married to TelexFree founder Carlos Wanzeler, were "thin” but viable. He denied her motion to dismiss the claims.
