Canadian Bank Can Access DataTreasury Suits Info

Law360, New York (June 4, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Bank of Nova Scotia has won a bid to modify a protective order in DataTreasury Corp.’s U.S. litigation that accuses dozens of financial firms of infringing patents related to check-imaging and other banking technology, as the Canadian bank fights against similar litigation in Canada.

Judge David Folsom of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Monday granted BNS’ motion to amend the protective order so it and other Canadian defendants can access confidential information produced in the current case and other U.S....
