Judge Rules For Sanofi, Bristol-Myers In Plavix Case

Law360 (September 21, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Sanofi-Aventis and Bristol-Myers Squibb got a break in their long-fought battle over blockbuster drug Plavix on Thursday, when a federal judge denied Canadian generic maker Apotex’s motion to stay a preliminary injunction barring a copycat version.

The two pharmaceutical giants co-market Plavix, a blood thinner.

The appeals court has set an expedited schedule for Apotex's appeal of the preliminary injunction, with oral argument scheduled for Oct. 31.
