Pa. Judge Settles Defamation Suit Over Abortion Doc Book

Law360 (June 27, 2018, 4:10 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania state judge has agreed to accept a settlement to end claims that he was defamed as a "drunk" and a member of Philadelphia's "liberal corrupt government" in a recently published book about the infamous murder trial of abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell.

An order dismissing the case as settled came just one day after a scheduled settlement conference between Judge Jeffrey Minehart, a member of the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas, and attorneys for the authors and publishers behind last year's "Gosnell: The Untold Story of America's Most Prolific Serial Killer."
