Miami-Dade Wants Suit Over $1.2B Marlins Sale In State Court

Law360, Miami (July 10, 2018, 9:59 PM EDT) -- Miami-Dade County and the city of Miami urged a Florida federal court on Tuesday to move their suit against the Miami Marlins over the team’s $1.2 billion sale back to state court, arguing that the team can’t bring the dispute and the parties’ arbitration agreement under federal jurisdiction just because one of the members of the buyer’s group is a foreign citizen.
