Mass. Health Agency Owner Sentenced For Medicaid Fraud

Law360, Boston (August 13, 2018, 7:55 PM EDT) -- The owner of a Boston-based home health agency has been sentenced to two to three years in state prison after a jury convicted her of stealing millions from the state's Medicaid program, according to an announcement Monday by state Attorney General Maura Healey.

Elena Kurbatzky, 45, was sentenced in Suffolk County Superior Court to the prison term, as well as three years of probation after she is released and restitution of up to $1.8 million.
