Bankrupt Telecom Co. Sues Paul Weiss For $140M

Law360, New York (June 22, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Metromedia International Group Inc. has accused Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP of “injecting ambiguity” into a certificate of designation it drafted for the telecommunications holding company, spurring the shareholders' suit that led to its bankruptcy.

In the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Thursday, on the same day it filed for bankruptcy, Metromedia hit the prominent firm with a more than $140 million malpractice suit.
