Dish Not Covered For $280M Robocall Verdict, Insurer Says

By Nadia Dreid (November 28, 2018, 6:18 PM EST) -- National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa., fought back Tuesday in Colorado federal court against a bid by Dish Network to knock out part of its suit seeking to avoid coverage for a $280 million robocall verdict, saying its situation mirrors that of another Dish insurer recently let off the hook.

The insurer urged the court not to consider Dish Network's argument that a recent Colorado Supreme Court decision invalidates a Tenth Circuit ruling that found the damages laid on Dish Network in a similar suit to be uninsurable.
