NJ Transit Ducks 'Litigation Nightmare' In Bus Injury Suit

Law360 (January 24, 2019, 7:29 PM EST) -- A New Jersey state appeals court on Thursday refused to revive a negligence action accusing New Jersey Transit of causing a bus rider’s injury, saying the rider’s multiple discovery violations transformed the case into a “litigation nightmare” that warranted dismissal.

A two-judge Appellate Division panel affirmed the dismissal of a suit accusing the state-owned public transportation system of failing to properly train NJ Transit bus driver Maxi Cosmey, who negligently caused Lisa Katramados’ unspecified injury suffered during a bus ride.
