Rams Ex-Cheerleader's Accident Suit Blocked By Mo. Law

Law360 (January 30, 2019, 9:02 PM EST) -- A former St. Louis Rams cheerleader lost negligence claims against the franchise over an ill-fated trip to Qatar when a federal judge ruled Wednesday that Missouri's workers' comp law stands in her way.

U.S. District Judge Ronnie White dismissed former cheerleader Emily Hawkins' claims against the LLCs for both the St. Louis and the Los Angeles versions of the Rams, as well as against Hawkins' former supervisor, Keely Fimbres-Bledsoe. Hawkins was seriously hurt in Qatar during a trip in which Rams cheerleaders and mascot were visiting a U.S. military base.
