Denny's Sued Over Sodium Content Disclosure

Law360, New York (July 23, 2009, 4:53 PM EDT) -- Denny's Corp. has been slapped with a putative class action alleging the restaurant chain violates New Jersey law by failing to disclose that some of its menu items contain sodium levels several times higher than the recommended daily limit.

The complaint, filed Thursday in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Middlesex County, alleges that Denny's engages in “deceptive and unconscionable commercial practices” by not disclosing the “alarmingly large” amount of sodium its meals contain.
