Planet Hollywood Settles FLSA OT Suit

Law360, New York (July 27, 2009, 4:54 PM EDT) -- Planet Hollywood New York LP has agreed to pay $900,000 to settle a class action alleging that waiters at the movie-themed restaurant chain's Times Square location were not paid overtime and were required to work off the clock.

The lead plaintiffs in the suit filed a motion Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York seeking final approval of the settlement, which covers payments to over 1,000 former employees as well as attorneys’ fees.
