Lockheed Loses Bid To Oust ERISA Class Counsel

Law360, New York (July 27, 2009, 12:25 PM EDT) -- The judge presiding over a class action accusing Lockheed Martin Corp. of mishandling two employment pension plans has denied a bid by the defense contractor to disqualify plaintiffs firm Schlichter Bogard & Denton LLP from acting as lead counsel in the case.

Lockheed sought to remove Schlichter as class counsel on the grounds that the firm was fighting to unseal confidential documents in the case for use in other litigation, accusing it of operating under an impermissible conflict of interest.
