Dell Settles Sex Bias Suit For $9.1M

Law360, New York (July 27, 2009, 7:29 PM EDT) -- Dell Inc. has agreed to fork out $9.1 million to settle a class action alleging that the company discriminated against women in its methods of compensating and promoting its employees.

An order preliminarily approving the settlement was filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. The terms of the settlement were revealed in a joint statement released by the parties on Friday.
