AMC Deal Lays 'Walking Dead' Copyright Case To Rest

Law360 (March 14, 2019, 5:47 PM EDT) -- AMC and others have buried the hatchet with an author who claimed that a spin-off of the network’s wildly popular TV show “The Walking Dead” ripped off his zombie comics, according to a Wednesday filing in California federal court.

U.S. District Judge Lucy H. Koh signed a stipulated order Wednesday dismissing the case with prejudice after the two sides informed her that they plan to resolve the dispute out of court.

“The parties represent that the instant case has been resolved through mediation, and the parties need time to finalize the settlement,” Judge Koh wrote in a filing earlier this week....
