Sens. Seek Help For Chinese Drywall Homeowners

Law360, New York (July 30, 2009, 12:37 PM EDT) -- A group of U.S. senators is calling on federal agencies to take a more active role in the investigation of allegedly tainted Chinese-made drywall, seeking expedited mortgage relief and additional measures to help affected homeowners.

Sens. Jim Webb, D-Va.; Mark Warner, D-Va.; Bill Nelson, D-Fla.; and Mary Landrieu, D-La., sent a letter Tuesday to the Small Business Administration, requesting that it review its existing authority to assist impacted homeowners and businesses.
