Developer Claims Cos. Worked To Block Nashville Hyatt

Law360 (April 9, 2019, 5:12 PM EDT) -- A developer has sued a group of Nashville real estate companies in Tennessee federal court, saying they conspired to stop it from building a Hyatt Place hotel that would compete with a nearby Hampton Inn in which the company owners have property interests.

Atlanta developer RevPar Green Hills LLC alleged Monday that Donald F. Rochford, Rochford Realty and Construction Co. and Bedford Commons Association Inc. joined to create a review committee specifically to prevent RevPar from building its Hyatt hotel about three-tenths of a mile from the Green Hills Hampton Inn in Nashville.
