GNC, NY Teen Agree To Drop Creatine Suit

Law360, New York (August 6, 2009, 2:23 PM EDT) -- General Nutrition Corp. has resolved a proposed class action filed by a New York teenager who claimed GNC misled consumers about the safety of creatine, a muscle growth supplement found in its nutritional products.

U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan of the Southern District of New York on Wednesday approved a stipulation of dismissal between GNC and S.K., a junior high school student who said he suffered a grand mal seizure and head injuries after taking creatine to improve at school sports.
