Law360 (April 25, 2019, 11:58 PM EDT) -- Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein told an audience on Thursday night that the deadpan expression he wore while standing behind Attorney General William Barr at a press conference announcing the Mueller report a week ago was "exactly what I was going for."
Rosenstein oversaw Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. On April 18, he stood next to Barr at a press conference held before the report was released publicly, a move seen by some as an attempt to downplay the report’s conclusions regarding the actions of President Donald Trump.
