Qualcomm Antitrust Suit Over CDMA Tossed Again

Law360, New York (August 11, 2009, 1:24 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has thrown out, for the second time, a putative class action accusing Qualcomm Inc. of unlawful competition in licensing practices related to the wireless communications company's patents for code division multiple access technology.

Judge William Q. Hayes of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California on Monday dismissed the lawsuit without prejudice, leaving room for the possible reopening of the case should the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit reverse a trial court's ruling related to California antitrust...
