3rd Circ. Will Hear FCC Broadcast Dereg Dispute In June
Law360 (May 21, 2019, 8:51 PM EDT) -- The latest court fight over the Federal Communications Commission's effort to relax its media ownership rules will begin June 11, the Third Circuit said Tuesday.
Prometheus Radio Project and other public interest groups are trying to overturn the Republican-dominated commission's decision to peel back some long-standing rules, such as those governing cross-ownership of radio and TV and whether one company can own more than one top station in the same market.
