Law360, New York (August 27, 2009, 1:58 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has consolidated four antitrust cases alleging that insurance companies including WellPoint Inc., Anthem Inc. and Blue Cross of California improperly calculated the usual, customary and reasonable rates of reimbursement for out-of-network health care services.
The panel centralized the cases in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, where three of the four cases were pending, on Aug. 20.
