Apple, Google, Pandora Music Services Targeted In IP Suits

By Hailey Konnath (August 16, 2019, 11:59 PM EDT) -- Apple, Google and Pandora on Friday were hit with patent infringement suits over their respective online music services, including Apple Music, Google Play's music web service and Pandora radio, which are accused of infringing media sharing patents owned by Post Media Systems LLC.

Post Media is claiming the tech and music giants violated four patents related to sharing media over networks, like the internet, according to the three nearly identical suits filed in Illinois federal court. The suit against Pandora also lists Pandora's parent company Sirius XM as a defendant.
