Creditors Look To End Georgia-Pacific Affiliate's Ch. 11 Case

By Rick Archer (August 19, 2019, 7:14 PM EDT) -- A group of asbestos plaintiffs on Monday asked a North Carolina bankruptcy court to dismiss the Chapter 11 case of Georgia-Pacific affiliate Bestwall LLC, accusing the company of stalling in an attempt to avoid paying asbestos liabilities.

In a filing Friday, the case's committee for asbestos claimants claimed Bestwall has gone a year and a half without filing a confirmable plan and it's now attempting to relitigate its asbestos liability by asking the court to estimate how much the committee members are owed.
