Actus, BofA Settle Payment Method Patent Suit

Law360, New York (August 28, 2009, 4:33 PM EDT) -- Bank of America Corp. and another defendant have reached a settlement with Actus LLC, a patent-holding company that accused nearly two dozen entities of infringing four patents related to an electronic payment system.

Judge T. John Ward of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Thursday signed off on Actus and Bank of America's joint motion to dismiss all claims with prejudice and all counterclaims as moot, subject to the terms of a settlement and license agreement signed on Aug. 14....
