Adelphia Creditors Get Go-Ahead To Vote On Ch. 11 Plan

Law360 (October 17, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Adelphia Communications Corp. inched one step closer to pulling the plug on its four-year stay in bankruptcy on Tuesday when a federal judge approved sending the cable company’s Chapter 11 reorganization plan to its creditors for a vote.

Judge Robert E. Gerber of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York gave the go-ahead for the vote, setting a Nov. 27 deadline for creditors to vote on Adelphia’s plan.

The confirmation hearing is scheduled for Dec. 7, and objections are due by Nov....
