Apple Backs DACA As Justices Review Trump Rollback Plan

Law360 (October 2, 2019, 10:31 PM EDT) -- Apple Inc. weighed in on Wednesday in a U.S. Supreme Court fight over the Trump administration's 2017 decision to wind down the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, telling the justices that the program protected hundreds of its workers who entered the U.S. without authorization as children.

Apple's CEO Tim Cook and its senior vice president of retail and people, Deirdre O'Brien, put their names on the company's amicus brief, saying it was the first time they had done so in one of the Silicon Valley titan's "numerous" filings with the nation's highest court.
