9th Circ. Revives Northrop Workers' ERISA Class Bid

Law360, New York (September 10, 2009, 1:15 PM EDT) -- Workers at Northrop Grumman Corp. can renew their call for class certification in a suit over the defense contractor's employee savings plan now that an appeals court has vacated a ruling dismissing their first class-status bid.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on Tuesday found U.S. District Judge Manuel L. Real of the Central District of California was wrong to reject the Northrop workers' motion for certification and ordered the long-running case be assigned to a different judge on remand.
