DOJ Seeks More Details On Microsoft-Yahoo Ad Deal

Law360, New York (September 11, 2009, 2:57 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has asked Yahoo Inc. and Microsoft Corp. for more information on their proposed 10-year search advertising partnership, which has raised antitrust concerns from competitors and lawmakers alike.

Microsoft spokesman Jack Evans confirmed Friday that the two companies had received a second request for information about the deal from the Justice Department.

The technology giants expected the federal government to seek more details about the partnership, and still hope to receive approval by early 2010, representatives for the two companies said....
