Motorola Dropped From Premier Playlist Patent Suit
Law360 (September 15, 2009, 2:02 PM EDT) -- Patent-holding company Premier International Associates LLC has agreed to drop Motorola Inc. from a suit accusing the cell phone giant and two dozen other technology companies of infringing two patents covering digital music-management technology.
Judge David Folsom of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Monday approved the companies' stipulation to dismiss the suit with prejudice.
This brings to an end Premier's claims against Motorola, as well as the defendant's counterclaims against Premier, although further details of an agreement between the parties were not made public.
