Parents Fight Pop Warner's Bid To End Concussion Suit

Law360 (December 3, 2019, 8:18 PM EST) -- Pop Warner Little Scholars Inc. doesn’t deserve an early win in a suit alleging the organization hid the risks of concussions, the mothers of two deceased former players told a California federal court, saying their experts can establish that repeated head trauma led to their sons’ deaths.

Kimberly Archie and Jo Cornell told the court Monday that there are questions of material fact about whether the chronic traumatic encephalopathy their sons were posthumously diagnosed with contributed to their deaths, which a jury should decide on. Archie's son died in a motorcycle crash, and Cornell’s took his own life.
