Ex-Lehman Broker Gets Probation In Insider Case

Law360, New York (September 17, 2009, 1:52 PM EDT) -- A former Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. sales representative has been sentenced to probation following his guilty plea to charges stemming from a multimillion-dollar insider trading scam in which he passed on illegal stock tips stolen from the wife of a colleague.

Judge George B. Daniels of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York sentenced Frederick Bowers on Wednesday to three years of probation and 2000 hours of community service.
