Apple, Ticketmaster Latest Targets Of TQP Patent Suit
Law360 (September 17, 2009, 3:50 PM EDT) -- Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc., Apple Inc. and Exxon Mobil Corp. are among a slew of major companies that have been sued by TQP Development LLC, alleging infringement of a patent related to an online encrypted data transmission method.
The new complaint, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, is the latest TQP has fired off in recent months over the same patent. Numerous defendants in those suits have settled with TQP, including Amazon.com and MasterCard Inc.
