Merrill Seeks To Stop Probe Of $8.3B Tribune Buyout

Law360, New York (September 18, 2009, 5:13 PM EDT) -- Merrill Lynch Capital Corp. has asked a bankruptcy judge to prevent a Tribune Co. bondholder from investigating Merrill's role in an $8.3 billion leveraged buyout with the now-bankrupt Tribune, arguing that it had already offered to provide the documents being sought outside of court.
