11th Circ. Affirms Toss Of Georgia Bar Exam Result Suit

Law360 (January 8, 2020, 8:09 PM EST) -- An Eleventh Circuit panel on Wednesday backed the dismissal of a proposed class action brought by two Georgia bar applicants against a technology company that erroneously concluded the applicants had failed the bar exam.

In a per curiam decision, the three-judge panel said a district court made the right call in determining the company, ILG Technologies LLC, owed "no duty" to bar applicants Lloyd Dan Murray Jr. and Jennifer McGhan outside the parameters of its contract with the state's Office of Bar Admissions.
