SAIC Inks $1.2B Deal For Unisys' US Federal Biz

By Chelsea Naso (February 6, 2020, 11:12 AM EST) -- SAIC, advised by King & Spalding, on Thursday unveiled an all-cash deal worth $1.2 billion for a unit of Sullivan & Cromwell client Unisys that provides cloud services and enterprise IT-as-a-service to the U.S. government. 

The deal will see technology company Scientific Applications International Corp. buy Unisys Corp.'s U.S. federal business, whose clients include a number of U.S. federal civilian agencies and the U.S. Department of Defense. 

Virginia-based SAIC said the deal will not only bolster its technology offerings to the federal government but also differentiate its platform from other providers.
