Kraft Seeks Sanctions In FLSA/ERISA Class Action

Law360, New York (September 24, 2009, 3:08 PM EDT) -- Kraft Foods Global Inc. has asked a federal judge to impose sanctions against the lead plaintiffs in a proposed class action accusing the company of overtime wage and record-keeping violations, arguing that it has been led on a nine-month, unlawful “fishing expedition.”

The company filed a motion seeking sanctions against the plaintiffs and their attorney Sept. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, saying that even though the plaintiffs' counsel admitted the complaint lacked merit and entered into an enforceable dismissal...
