Tribune Gets Final OK For $728M Cubs Sale

Law360, New York (September 24, 2009, 6:09 PM EDT) -- Bankrupt newspaper publisher Tribune Co. has received the final court approval it needs to sell 95 percent of the Chicago Cubs baseball franchise to Ricketts Acquisition LLC for $728 million in cash plus Tribune's equity stake in the team, clearing the way for the transaction to go through once it receives the blessing of Major League Baseball.
