Jane Pauley Targets NYT Over Trademark Rights

Law360 (October 26, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Former NBC co-host Jane Pauley has hauled the New York Times Co. to court, alleging that the newspaper and another publishing company tricked her into lending her name and image to an advertising supplement on behalf of pharmaceutical companies.

The broadcaster, who was previously the co-host of NBC’s “The Today Show” and “Dateline,” claims that she was led to believe that she was giving an interview for an article on mental health issues that would appear in an informational supplement to the New York Times Magazine....
